Abstract

This roundtable discussion is based on the development a philosophy-in-practice for one module in a doctoral programme, focusing on researching groups and communities in technology enhanced/networked learning environments. The discussion will open with an overview of the tutor’s initial vision for the module and will include experiences of the members of the first cohort of doctoral candidates who participated in the module. Principles of participatory design and assessment will be examined. Examples from the module will be provided. Questions on community development of a philosophy-in-practice for networked learning will provide a basis for opening the roundtable discussion
