Abstract

This is an excerpt from one of the chapters of my thesis. It will serve as the basis for publication(s) which I intend to begin writing once my thesis is submitted in February 2013. The purpose of this document is to develop an understanding of how Reddit 'works' based chiefly on data collected through its API.
