Abstract

Ka-band is gaining interest for terrestrial and space communications and the frequency in the range 27.5 - 29.5 GHz is already used in 5G for high data rate links. This paper will describe the design of a traveling wave tube for wireless communication with long range in the band 27.5 - 29.5 GHz. The TWT uses a double corrugated waveguide with triangular pillars.
