Abstract

This short article discusses a set of activities focused on the city of Lancaster's historical connections with other places around the world. The first activity is a scoping study of the histories of a selection of places named Lancaster in Jamaica, Barbados, Guyana and the United States. The second activity is a series of guided 'glocal' history walks around Lancaster's historic city centre.
