Abstract

Creative Evaluation (CE) today, can be understood as a constellation of evaluation approaches that encourages the application of creative thinking and creative methods into a variety of contexts. CE approaches often relate to participatory, exploratory, co-design and co-creationdriven approaches that seek to expand the scope within which they are situated. This is a moment in time where there is an increasing need to engage with and explore the broader ecosystems, environments and surroundings of evaluation projects in ways that can foster resilience, sustainability, inclusivity and recovery. The biophysical context can offer unique opportunities for evaluators to consider a whole new range of considerations and possibilities associated the broader environmental (biotic and abiotic) parameters of their evaluations. The authors are proposing a new outlook towards CE which involves expanding CE’s scope towards the biophysical context.
