Abstract

The Journal of Arabic and Islamic Studies (JAIS) is an international, peer-reviewed journal founded in 1995 by Joseph N. Bell (University of Bergen, Norway) and Petr Zemánek (Charles University, Prague). It aims to promote the study of history, language, literature and culture through the publication of research articles. Volumes from 1995-2002 have been published on paper by Edinburgh University Press. It is published electronically on its primary site hosted by Lancaster University. The journal editor is currently Alex Metcalfe.
