Abstract

Im vorliegenden Kapitel stellen wir die theoretischen Zugänge und das methodische Vorgehen unserer Studie vor. Mit dem Diskurshistorischen Ansatz zur Kritischen Diskursforschung verorten wir unsere Analysen in einem Forschungsprogramm, das neben zentralen theoretischen Grundannahmen – etwa über den Zusammenhang von Diskurs, Identität und Gesellschaft – auch einige Leitsätze und Forschungsziele vorgibt sowie den Forschungsprozess strukturiert. Dieser Auffassung nach ist der Diskurshistorische Ansatz gegenüber konkreten Erhebungsmethoden und Analysemethoden nicht nur offen – sofern diese dem theoretischen Grundannahmen sowie Forschungszielen nicht zuwiderlaufen – sondern fordert sogar die Kombination und Integration unterschiedlicher Methoden im Sinne einer Triangulation der Forschungsergebnisse. In this chapter we present the theoretical approaches and the methodological approach of our study. With the discourse-historical approach to critical discourse research, we locate our analyzes in a research program that, in addition to central theoretical assumptions - for example about the relationship between discourse, identity and society - also provides some guiding principles and research goals and structures the research process. According to this view, the historical discourse approach is not only open to specific survey methods and analysis methods - provided that these do not contradict the basic theoretical assumptions and research goals - but even calls for the combination and integration of different methods in the sense of a triangulation of the research results.
