Abstract

The article examines the role of intuition in managerial decision making. Topics covered include a comparison between the amount of information picked up by the sensory system and the conscious processing capacity, the significance of being intuitive for managers, and some uses of intuition for managers including determining problems, performing behavior patterns and getting to the essence of things. Also offered is a chart illustrating the performance of different types of decision makers.
