This book presents research providing contemporary insights into learning outcomes arising from the use of learning platforms by pupils, students and teachers in schools. Most currently available research reports and published papers focus on studying processes and outcomes concerned with the management of the implementation of learning platforms, and ways practices are developing over time, or in specific contexts. The four chapters here shed light on this area, in contrasting but complementary ways. The first explores applications supporting management of learning across primary and secondary schools in the UK, the second offers an in-depth case study of uses and outcomes in a school in Singapore, the third provides an analysis of learning outcomes arising across primary, special and secondary schools in one local authority in the UK, and the fourth looks at student preferences for using a learning platform in a specific subject and topic context in a school in Taiwan.
