Abstract

This report documents the stages under which the authors have announced the enhancement of a portable neutron detection instrument primarily designed for the purpose of detecting cosmic radiation. Here the original device is reviewed along with suggestions intended to improve the design. These proposals are backed up by a series of computer based simulations with Monte Carlo software that have assisted to demonstrate the abilities of the device.
