Abstract

DLP® Technology has existed for over twenty years with a wide range of products currently in production. The legacy of DLP technology includes innovations such as single-chip color displays and SmoothPicture™ technology. Recent technological advances have enabled entirely new applications in the area of 3-D stereoscopic viewing. This paper will explain the basic DLP technology and how it has been utilized in today's 3-D HDTV's.
