    Additional Information:
Kay was invited to contribute a paper by the editors of this collection, originating from a session at the fourth European Social History Conference, Netherlands. Pat Hudson in her review for the Economic History Review (LIX:4, 2006, pp.859-860) said that an important feature of the book is that the case studies are drawn from a variety of countries, prompting interesting comparative questions in determining the place of women in industrializing Europe. Kay's paper forms part of her work-in-progress towards her forthcoming monograph: Foundations of Female Enterprise (Routledge, 2008). RAE_import_type : Chapter in book RAE_uoa_type : History
