Additional Information:
This research report publishes the findings of a research project funded by the DfES. The report influenced the development of future DfES projects in the area. The work further developed the blending of qualitative and quantitative approaches and pioneered the development of a rigorous and theoretically based conceptualisation of the impact of ICT upon student motivation in a range of school settings. This was achieved through the development of a 'profiling' approach to the assessment of characteristic motivational patterns within a school thereby enabling a research approach that is both theoretically sound and rigorous but also practicable and efficient.
