Abstract

Private international law scholarship in Africa has not been widely acknowledged in international academic discourse. A principal reason for this may be the difficulty of accessing it. This paper provides a broad overview of the current state of the culture of private international law scholarship in Africa, an account of some recent developments in the area, and a selected bibliography of articles that have been published in mainly African law journals.
