This is one of the finest examples from a growing corpus of ethnographic studies of the coordinate uses of particular technologies we have conducted in the home. Coordination is key theme in the development of collaborative systems and calendars are a prime example of coordinating devices. The study elaborated the key differences between calendar use in the home and the workplace and articulated new possibilities for design. It is frequently cited by the designers of novel calendaring systems, having 35 citations on Google Scholar.
