The Deer is a Lancashire based horror story told through fragmented interview transcripts. Morag James, writing about Forton Services' eerie Pennine Tower, interviews ex-traffic officer Neil Walker. One December night in 2025, he and his partner Turner picked up "Carl": a young man claiming he'd just stepped down from the tower with Megan, a woman missing since 1986. Something in the tower is hungry, and telling its story seems to feed it. Walker doesn't survive the telling. Neither, it seems, does Morag.
