Abstract

Regulation and policy initiatives represent macro level interventions that are important avenues for the promotion of a healthy psychosocial work environment and mental health and well-being at work. This entry outlines key types of regulation and policy initiatives that have been developed in this area at different levels (e.g., national, regional, and international). These include hard law instruments which are legally binding/compulsory, and soft law instruments which are voluntary. The entry also critically discusses the current state of the art and identifies avenues for development in the future.
