As AI tools become increasingly prevalent in educational settings, they offer significant opportunities to enhance teaching strategies, particularly in making complex statistical concepts more accessible. However, these advancements also bring concerns such as algorithmic bias, and the risk of perpetuating misinformation. This paper reflects on personal experiences in integrating AI into a statistics module in a UK higher education context, emphasising the importance of harnessing AI tools to make statistics more accessible while maintaining responsibility as an educator to restrict the potential impact of the use of AI. Through a structured reflection, the paper highlights the transformative potential of AI in education while advocating for a responsible approach that prioritises restricting harm such as misinformation and exercising oversight and control in the human-AI collaboration. The reflection concludes by proposing key dimensions for responsible Human-AI Collaboration in Education.
