Abstract

The melting pressure of He-3 droplets, following phase separation of a mixture of 0.6% He-3 in He-4 confined in a silver sinter, has been studied in the temperature range 1-150 mK, below the phase-separation temperature T-ps. An elevation of the melting pressure relative to pure He-3 of up to 60 kPa was observed. Hysteresis between the freezing and melting temperatures was found, similar to that in pure He-3 in small pores.
