This article analyses Brazil's first Território de Uso Comum (TUC) in the Amazon as an experiment in insurgent universality—a women-led, grassroots struggle advancing collective rights through shared lifeways rather than fixed identities. Framed through Fanon's notion of concrete universality, the TUC embodies existential freedom and collective self-governance grounded in forest peoples' practices of common use. Ethnographic and historical analysis situates the TUC within Amazonian resistance to capitalist expropriation, highlighting its global significance for reimagining the commons and linking social justice with environmental governance.
