Abstract

We report on the development of a terahertz-driven electron beam deflector, based on a rectangular dielectric-lined waveguide (DLW), and the development of a simulation framework to probe the dynamics and analyse the experimental results. We show how such a terahertz (THz) deflector provides a valuable diagnostics tool for ultrafast electron bunches.
