Abstract

Terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) is commonly performed under ambient or nitrogen purged conditions. Given that proton-exchange membranes will operate under various humidities, here we propose humidity-controlled THz-TDS to extract membrane water uptake where our results are in agreement with gravimetric based dynamic vapor sorption (DVS) data in the literature.
