This discussion paper aims to investigate whether current time off policies are sufficient to support an older and sicker workforce to sustain employment. It challenges both the next UK Government and employers on how they can use existing time off policies and new models to enable workers to live healthier lives. The paper does so by analysing Office for National Statistics data, a Survation survey of senior business leaders across Great Britain in May 2024 and existing literature.
