In ''The Road to Migrant's Children Justice: A Call for Compassion and Protection'' blog, I examine the multifaceted challenges faced by migrant children within the justice system, advocating for a more compassionate and holistic approach to their protection and integration. Drawing from my research on Restorative Justice and Intercultural Mediation, I emphasize the ethical and moral responsibility of society to safeguard migrant children's rights, beyond mere legal frameworks. Also, I explore how systemic barriers, such as restrictive immigration policies and lack of access to essential services, hinder their well-being and long-term integration. The paper highlights the pivotal role of social capital—community networks and support systems—in enhancing migrant children’s legal and educational outcomes. It calls for a shift in legal practice that considers both procedural advocacy and the broader social context of migrant children’s lives. The paper concludes with actionable recommendations for legal practitioners, policymakers, and social workers to collaborate and prioritize both legal protections and the emotional stability necessary for the successful integration of migrant children into their new communities.
