This research aims to explore the influence of family on the behaviour of minors who commits acts of terror and propose efforts to prevent minors from becoming perpetrators due to family factors in Bulukumba Regency, Indonesia. The research employed empirical research method using a phenomenological approach. Findings indicate that the primary factor contributing to criminal behaviour among minors is the dysfunction of parental roles, including inadequate supervision and guidance. Additionally, inharmonious parent-child relationships, often exacerbated by parents' busy work schedules leading to reduced communication and increased time spent in negative social environments, are highlighted as significant contributors. Lack of education and community disengagement further compound the issue. Recommendations include focusing on education initiatives led by families, parents, and the broader community, strengthening family dynamics and engaging community leaders to address underlying causes of child crime, thus fostering a safer environment for children and communities. © 2024, Lembaga Kajian Konstitusi Indonesia (LKKI), Fakultas Syariah dan Hukum, Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry.
