This chapter discusses research on how fund managers cope with the uncertainty of the past, present and future of markets and their investments by observation and narration of contents available on scopic market screens (Knorr Cetina and Preda 2007). I will argue that ‘evaluative cultures’ in both the public and private spheres help shape the narratives used to make sense of market information on the scopic market screens.
