Abstract

A new method of real-time channel evaluation (RTCE) via zero-crossing analysis is described and the theoretical basis is presented. An ARQ scheme incorporating the RTCE method over the high frequency (HF) 2–30MHz radio channel is simulated and shown to out-perform more conventional systems.
