Abstract

A novel analytical expression to compute the interaction impedance of corrugated rectangular waveguide slow-wave structure, for backward wave regime is proposed.The remarkable agreement of the analytical model with 3D electromagnetic simulations makes the proposed expression of practical usefulness for backward wave oscillator design up to THz frequencies.
