Additional Information: This chapter was accepted in an internationally peer-reviewed book (having been presented at an international conference). The chapter, written by the principal author, with support of an additional author, explored issues that limit the development of a cross-national curriculum. Findings were gathered through the experiences of an EU-funded initiative that involved teachers, advisers and researchers from across 8 countries in the EU, Hungary and the USA. The initiative was concerned with how teachers and learners could use and share resources focusing on aspects of cultural learning, but highlighted impacts arising from individual national curricula.
