Abstract

Electron spin resonance spectroscopy has been used, in conjunction with the spin-trapping technique, to distinguish between the acrylonitrile and vinyl acetate propagating radicals. Employing this technique it has been possible to determine a value of kVAA/kAVA (ca 39). This value is in agreement with expectation for this system.
